Margaret Anne Schedel is a composer and cellist specializing in the creation and performance of ferociously interactive media whose works have been performed throughout the United States and abroad. She ran SUNY’s first Coursera Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) in 2013. As an Associate Professor of Music at Stony Brook University, she serves as Co-Director of Computer Music and is the Director of cDACT, the consortium for digital art, culture and technology.

Donate to Project Sunshine’s Holiday Toy Drive!
From December 3 through December 14, donate a new and unwrapped toy for children at Stony Brook Children’s Hospital. Drop off locations include the Admin cart, East Side Dining Emporium, and the FSA Offices at West Side Dining.
Project Sunshine is a nonprofit organization with chapters on college campuses across the country. Their mission is to provide free social, educational and recreational programming for children and their families as they face medical challenges.
Donate to the Students for Humanity Food Drive!
The Faculty Student Association in partnership with the Students for Humanity is hosting a food drive. Please donate canned food and non-perishables to the Stony Brook Food Pantry and Suffolk County Shelters from now until December 14. Donation bins are located at the East Side Dining Emporium and at the dine-in entrance to West Side Dining. Suggested items to donate include low sodium soups, dried fruit, granola bars, nuts, and cereal.

The Department of Periodontology is seeking volunteers for a clinical research study. The purpose of this study is to evaluate a technique for reducing periodontal pockets. The study requires you come to the dental clinic for between 11 to 16 visits over 5 months. At the end of the semester, all material currently on Reserve will be removed unless a Continuing Reserve Request is received by December 21, 2018. Please note that the continuing reserve request is only for the Winter session or the Spring 2019 semester.
