The Program in Public Health is Accepting Applications for Fall 2019

The Program in Public Health is currently accepting applications for fall 2019. We offer classes in the evening and our nationally accredited Master of Public Health program can be completed in 2 years. Our program provides core courses (epidemiology, biostatistics, health behavior, health systems, and environmental health) and offers concentrations in Health Analytics, Community Health, and Health Policy & Management. The 51-credit, hybrid program offers more than half of the courses online. The remaining courses are held in-person in the evening. We will provide you with a step-by-step explanation of what the employer must do in order to meet legal and procedural responsibilities associated with the Form I-9. We will focus on how to complete an I-9, how to correct common mistakes and omissions that delay the hiring process and we will review questions regarding documentation.

Access to clean energy directly impacts quality of life for people worldwide. Ability to store energy and release it on demand is necessary to implement renewable energy sources on a wide scale. Our group investigates the science and technology of power sources that will be enabling technologies for disparate and demanding applications, ranging from lifesaving implantable medical devices, to electric vehicles, to grid level storage.

Research on Stress during Pregnancy

The Mind-Body Center is seeking volunteers for focus groups to help us better understand how stress affects pregnant women and how we can help women cope better during and after pregnancy. The study involves completing one 90-minute focus group and an online questionnaire. To be eligible, you must be currently pregnant or have had a baby within the last 6 months. Research on Periodontal Disease

The Department of Periodontology is seeking volunteers for a clinical research study. The purpose of this study is to evaluate a technique for reducing periodontal pockets. The study requires you come to the dental clinic for between 11 to 16 visits over 5 months. Research on Dental Implants

The Department of Periodontology is seeking volunteers for a clinical research study to evaluate an Over-The-Counter (OTC) periodontal rinse for relieving discomfort rather than medically treating Peri-Implant Mucositis. The study requires 5 visits over 3 months at the dental clinic. You must have a dental implant for more than 1 year, have at least 20 natural teeth, good general health and be a non-smoker.
