The Alda Center will offer 3-hour workshops, Collaborating across Perspectives, to individual teams this semester. The workshop promotes strategies for collaborative teams communication and building trust through empathy. Collaborating across Perspectives is open to up to 16 people who work together regularly, occasionally, or for a particular project. School of Nursing, Research Seminar Series: Speaker – Dr. Fred Freidberg Tuesday, April 7th @ 12-1pm

Topic: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: How much do behavioral interventions (and self-management) help?
Location: Health Science Center, Level 2, Room 2-310
Fred Friedberg, PhD is a clinical psychologist and a full-time researcher in the field of myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome. Currently Dr. Freidberg is looking at what behavioral and biological factors predict improvement and worsening in this poorly understood illness. No registration necessary.

Science And Research Awareness Series (SARAS)

The Department of Anesthesiology will be organizing the 17th Annual Science And Research Awareness Series (SARAS) in July 2020. This summer program runs for 3 weeks (July 6 to 24) and consists of lectures, experts views, video workshops and hands on workshops. This program is designed for high school and undergraduate students. Register early, as seats are limited. Holiday Science Camp during Easter break for student is Grades 5-7

Academic programs to complement the students’ science curriculum at school and challenge them to think, research and experiment. Each program will be laboratory- based and are based on a specific theme. Students will participate in experiments, create crafts and watch demonstrations. Students participating in these programs should be interested in science, inquisitive, and willing to work hard to learn something new!
