Research Interests

My research focuses on the psychosocial sequelae of sexual trauma. Specifically, I am interested in examining the mechanisms that operate between the experience of sexual trauma and later sexual risk behavior, substance abuse, and impaired relationship functioning. As a member of Dr. Davila’s lab, I integrate research examining the interpersonal causes and consequences of internalizing disorders and risk factors for relationship dysfunction, by uniquely focusing on romantic relationship functioning and sexual behavior of individuals with a history of sexual trauma. Further, I am interested in the integration of multiple research methodologies, including psychophysiological and neurobehavioral measures of attention and arousal among sexually victimized individuals.
