The following video is a Youtube video uploaded by a speech teacher, Krista Price. She does a fantastic job explaining the tips and rules of creating effective visuals for your speeches or presentations.  I hope that you find her video as insightful as I did!

After viewing the video, I would like you to summarize what you have learned in a short reflection in the comments section of this page. I would then like you to ask one discussion question pertaining to the content and answer two of your classmates’ questions.

Following your reflection, please take the time to explore the following links pertaining to the presentation software options you have. You can explore the presentation softwares by visiting their websites and reading about them, by exploring what other users have to say about them, and (this is one of the best ways to evaluate the software) by creating an account and experimenting with the software. There are many other options available to you; I am simply providing you with some commonly used options.  If you would like to bring in another type of presentation software, that is fine with me as well! Keep in mind you will need to use one of the presentation softwares to create your own presentation during the next stage of your lesson, the “do activity” stage.

If you click on each picture, you will be brought to the website to explore!

I would also like you to comment below about your experience with one of the presentation softwares.  Is there one that you have used in the past? Do you like it? What are the drawbacks if there are any? You can add this comment to the summary and discussion questions post from earlier.
