Charlton  Simmons

Charlton Simmons earned his B.S in Marine Biology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington in May 2015. His primary passion for marine conservation focused on sea turtles rehabilitation in Topsail, NC. Charlton interned and worked extensively with the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Hospital for Jean Beasley. In addition, Charlton also held the position of P.R Officer for the Surfrider Foundation at his alma mater. The Surfrider Foundation’s main objective centers on the enjoyment and protection of beaches particularly through the banning of single use plastics. Charlton hopes to continue to work with sea turtle rehabilitation during his internship for the MCP program as well as post-graduate endeavors.
