The campus community came together on Thursday, November 9, 2017, for the 12th Annual “Journey Around the World Multicultural Show and Food Tasting,” an evening dedicated to celebrating different cultures with performances and foods presented by various student organizations.
The event highlighted different cultures spanning Asia, Africa, Europe, the Americas, and the South Pacific.

The program incorporated performances by the Turkish American Student Association, Taiko Tides, Déjà Vu Dance, Cadence Step Team, Stony Brook Taandava, YUVA, Stony Brook Pipettes, The Greek and Cypriot Student Association, Sri Lankan Student Association, and more.
This year’s annual tradition was coordinated by the Office of Multicultural Affairs, Undergraduate Student Government’s Director of Diversity Affairs Ian Lesnick and Senator Tahiana Abad, in conjunction with the participating student groups.
Admission to the event was free and open to all members of the Stony Brook University community.
