https://longislandmuseum.org/exhibitions/the-carriage-museum/
Objective:
To develop an interactive application that serves to aid, guide, and attract museum visitors. The application will be projected on to a large screen suspended over the Grace Darling carriage. The tablet that controls the display will act as a kiosk, allowing visitors to query questions regarding the museum, location, the specific exhibits, events, and more.
Specifications:
The application will be an iOS application in order to deploy Apple iPads as the tablets used for the kiosks.
Museum staff will update a database of content used in the idle display, and can customize it for special events, school field trips, etc. with welcome messages, and much more. This database can be shared with the museum’s web site, and even a mobile app.
Target Audience:
The museum has a wide range of visitors, young and old, both male and female. The purpose of this kiosk is to provide accessibility to anyone who can read and thus interact with the queries on the tablet/kiosk, as well as the large projection.
