Logo for Dark Side Productions (Haunted House in Wading River, NY)

The first version is supposed to be an eye peeking between fingers as if someone covered their eyes in fear and then wanted to look a little bit. I wanted to capture fear/adrenaline in the logo because that is what people go to haunted houses for. I received mixed reaction to the first logo. Some people thought it was too minimal to convey the image. So, I included a second version that would fit in the typography in the negative space below the ‘A’. This logo is focused more on the horror element of Dark Side Productions, using a coffin-like shape and bloody handprints.
