Persona 1:
Student
Age: not definite, but likely ~18-22
Student at Boston University pursuing business degree, is looking around for ways to network and get into internships and build relationships with companies. Learn more about business careers than they’d teach in a class environment.
Website should be professional but also welcoming enough, not overwhelming to the point of pushing people away. Would be looking for the activities and provided “services” by the club. The leadership page would be important, as well as proof of actual relations with businesses in the industry.
Persona 2
Business Contacts
Occupation: Likely relations departments such as HR
Not really a definable person in this position.
The website should be as professional as possible to gain interest and convince businesses to associate with the club. It’s one thing to be officially related to the school, but a sanctioned club must still be professional in appearance and operation. Business would be looking for the contacts of the important members and leadership. In the case that the club is sending out their information to business contacts the first impression of the site would be the most important, as well as it’s functionality to get the information they might need. Actual activities and things that potential club members might be interested in are not as important to a business contact.
Persona 3
University Oversight
As a sanctioned club the club and it’s operations and outward appearance would have to be approved by the University to some degree. Likely this would be by a University official who deals with clubs, but could go higher or to a different department due to this club’s status and relations to companies. The University contact would be interested in the site in the same ways a real business would, they would be looking for it to be extremely professional as it is reflecting on them.
