Project Description:
The goal of this project is to make a Holland Hexagon website for the Stony Brook Career Center. So Holland Hexagon is John Holland’s model of occupational themes that organize interest areas for the students like are you realistic, investigative, artistic, social, enterprising, and conventional and then the students can pick up to 3 themes from the given list of themes or areas that best describe their personality traits and interests and will get a list of suggested majors at Stony Brook University based on their selected themes and then the students can explore those majors that best fit with their interests.

Brief synopsis of the client’s services or products and the stakeholders they serve:
The career development and coaching team at the Career Center offers lifetime Career Coaching support for SBU students and alumni. One of the barriers is getting students to engage in their career development earlier in their first year at SBU. They want to create a platform for students to begin their career development by connecting them with career resources by their identities. Once they feel as if they understand the concerns of the students, they will get the students started with select career tools by their stage of career development and engage the students in one or more career communities. Further, this will engage them in career workshops and other opportunities.
