Welcome to my CSE 333 User Interface Development portfolio! For this term, I am developing a UI Program for Aspire Chef. Aspire Chef is a website that provides blog material such as recipes, cooking tips and techniques, and food-for-thought articles relevant to the culinary arts. Aspire Chef’s mission is to provide content for aspiring new chefs and people who are interested in cooking but do not have much experience yet. This target audience is not afraid of experimenting in the kitchen and trying new things. They are not intimidated by foreign recipes that they have never tried before. These people are innovative, proactive people who have a passion for cooking.

Professional and experienced chefs are to be distinguished from Aspire Chef’s target audience because of the website’s broad and novice nature. Professional chefs are always looking for ways to hone their craft, but they are unlikely to utilize this website due to its rudimentary tone and material. People who have cooked for a long time may be more conservative and not as willing to try new things, so this website is not targeted towards seasoned cooks. People cooking for a family may not be receptive to trying extravagant new recipes because they would have to test dishes on entire families which may not be worth the risk.

As a result of this analysis, the target demographic is young adults, ranging from ages 18-30, who have just begun learning or picked up an interest in cooking as a hobby.
