Typography

Logotype:

I chose to use this stylish, beautiful cursive font called Shink and made the font color pink to add a gentle, feminine look to the design and compared to other script fonts, this one is very legible. I aimed for a distinct handwritten font to feel personal and emphasize the personality and style the business adds into its handmade clothing. I purposefully positioned the logo so that it looks like the cursive font (the “v” and the “S”) is holding up the logo. This is to show how Reluv Style supports the concept of upcycling and strives to create a new way for consumers to love old clothing/garments again.

Type Sampler:

Header: Shink (Regular)

Subheader: Montserrat (Regular)

Body: Roboto Light

Since my header font has a lot of personality and a distinct style, I decided to pair it with Montserrat and Roboto Light which are more neutral fonts to make the design more readable and to create visual harmony. I chose to match Montserrat with Roboto Light because the fonts are from the same typeface and I decided to use Roboto Light over Roboto Regular to add more contrast and to make the fonts mesh better altogether.
