Here we have the B&W and the colored version of the Mark
I think this assignment was actually really fun to work on since it’s much harder to create a logo without any use of words than one would think. The elements that were chosen are to show the work that Miles puts into each photo shoot. With the photoshoot itself and then the work that has to be done after making the images really come to life and look the way to fit the theme of the photoshoot.
For the logo, I first decided to go with a circle to encase the rest of the logo. This is to create a sense of community since Miles’s photography is always about the people and building a good relationship with each client. Next, the parts of the logo that are seen within the circle can be described as quite blocky and rectangular. This is to show that with this business the goal is to be a stable source of high-quality photographs.
I choose the blue to purple gradient background for the colored version to show optimism and overall express positive feeling. The red shows the importance of Miles’s photography. I decided to leave the other elements the same colors as the B&W to give it a good contrast and show the authority in the work Mile does after the image.
