SBU Delta Sigma Pi Logo
The following logo mark demonstrates the connection between the organization Delta Sigma Pi, and the Upsilon Omega chapter at Stony Brook Campus. The Stony Brook Ray was chosen to be the background because it is easily recognizable by the students on campus as well as the Stony Brook Badge on the right. The Empire State Building is a strong symbol of New York City being the biggest financial center in the world, with strength, power, and elite. The DSP chapter at the Stony Brook campus is part of the Empire Region after further research, and this building is a great depiction and representation of the chapter. It is also a great fit for this business-oriented organization as students are joining this organization to improve themselves and become the best of the best in the industry. In addition, the building has the shape of the number 1, and DSP is the largest co-ed professional business fraternities, and 1 depicts it is high and top of everything. The color meaning of purple is connected to power, nobility, luxury, and wisdom. Although it does have a definite shape, it has a rough outline of a rectangle that is used for stability and people can rely on them after joining as a resource to build their careers. As a result, it is aligned with the client’s service – business / professional development in NYC and it is appropriate for the target audience – SBU students. Finally, this logo has a simple bold design that is recognizable because of the Stony Brook logo and is also scalable with its simple design.
