Client 1 (Personal/Myself):
In this modified version, I swapped the colors of the initials and screen outline to try to make the initials stand out more. In addition, in the typography assignment, it was recommended to make the colors of the network lines and initials darker. In the icons assignment, I outlined each icon in a dark blue. Thus, in order for the logo to also match those two designs, I decided that having the initials be the darker blue would fit more while also having it stand out more. I also felt that one of the reason why the initials didn’t stand out as much as I wanted was because of how busy the logo was. I removed some of the lines so that the there would be less details to process and look at. In the black and white version, since part of the J is outside of the black outline and the J itself is white, I thought that it would be a good idea to have only the parts of the J that stuck out be black while the rest stayed white. That way, the viewer is still able to tell that it’s a J without having to change the design too much.
I also made this design a bit more simple because both the typography and icon set design ended up being a lot more simple than the logo. I felt that if I made the logo too complicated, then as a whole, it wouldn’t fit in with the rest of my brand.
Client 2 (Dalai Zhou Clinic):
In this modified version, in order to decrease the white space between the D and the circle, I made the D larger and bolder. I kept the cord of the logo the same size because I self that if I made that part bolder, it might have made it a little more difficult to draw the outline of a house. I also made the plus sign more even and straight.

Since the intended target audience is hiring managers in Computer Science/software Programming fields, I thought my logo should incorporate some sort of technology. A computer is something everyone in this day and age uses, and is a tool that is especially important for programmers. Not only that, by the general shape of a laptop is square, symbolizing stability, dependability, and efficiency, characteristics I believe hiring managers look for. Furthermore, to not make the logo too boring, I incorporated circuits, making them part of the laptop. The sides of a laptop naturally form right angles, something that allowed me to incorporate my initials into the logo while still maintaining the same shape. To emphasize my initials, I made those lines slightly thicker than the rest. However, not so thick that it takes away from the whole piece. I chose a bright blue color for my initials and a slightly darker blue that further emphasized this technological theme for the rest of the laptop outline in order to create a slightly larger contrast.
Client 2 (Dalai Zhou Clinic):
Since this client is a family doctor, I chose to go with a more circular and soft logo in order to show community and have a positive message. I also incorporated a stethoscope is something the doctor will always carry around and positioned it so that it flows with the outer circle and so that it creates a “D” shape for Doctor. To further portray and use the circular theme, I created a house outline from the stethoscope tubing and placed it inside the two circles. Since this clinic is a family doctor, I thought the addition of a house was fitting for the audience to feel more comfortable. I chose a light blue color as the background and kept the stethoscope white because those are the colors of hospitals (white and/or blue scrubs doctors wear).
