Background:

I made an infographic on this year’s League of Legends World Championship. League of Legends is multiplayer online battle arena video game that I enjoy playing. Every year, between the months of September and November, top teams from each region will battle it out in an international tournament for the Summoner’s Cup and World Champion title. This event attracts a huge audience in the eSports community, and I thought it would be interesting to show some of the statistics in an infographic. The data above represents the current state of the tournament. The finals will take place next week, so that information will not be included. At the top of the graphic I put more general tournament data, focusing on the teams, date, view count, etc. I used colors from the League of Legends logo to highlight the numbers. The second part consists of statistics pulled from actual gameplay, portraying a visual of which champions were popular in the tournament.
