Design Brief

As it is a customer base of the handmade dog snack business, there are characteristics that are common to customers. First, they raise pets such as dogs or cats, or people around them raise them. As it is a homemade dog treats, it continues to purchase despite the higher price range than ready-made products produced in large quantities, so there is no hesitation about pet affection or consumption for them. In addition, due to abnormalities such as allergic reactions to existing ready-made snacks, customized snacks for their dogs were frequently ordered. (Puppies often had a specific constitution, allergies to poultry, severe tear marks due to allergic reactions to beef, hives, etc.)

Back Story
Kim Yoon-Jae is an ordinary bread winner preparing for retirement. He decided to raise a dog a few years ago and adopted little puppy. His dog is allergic to poultry, so he used to have some problems about general ready-made treats. In particular, he found that his dog does not eat snacks without meat because he has a very picky taste, so Yoon-Jae decided to order handmade treats for his dog.

Motivation

Ideal experience

Kim’s ideal experience is that whenever he orders dog treats, he can easily order the kind of dog snacks he wants, just like an Internet shopping site. It would be an ideal experience for him if he could choose a simple preset or snack base (beef, pork, chicken) and make dog snacks with additional nutrients he wants to add by using a mobile applications.

There is no doubt about the quality of this product, but orders have been delayed due to the existing uncomfortable ordering method. Since it is a really good quality dog-treat business, if the convenience of customers is improved, I think we can seek to expand the business. I hope that a UI app focusing on convenience will be created as soon as possible so that I can easily order snacks.”

 

  • <Color Palette>

Since the business item is an eco-friendly organic dog snack, was chosen as a color based on green with a nature-friendly feeling. Since it is a process in charge of the overall design of the UI, I intended to give a soft and friendly image by focusing on pastel-tone light colors. There are three green colors that are the basis of the design and two red and brown colors were used to emphasize some important words, or elements. Since nature-friendly images are often connected to trees, I basically chose colors that do not deviate significantly from the colors green and brown that make up the trees.
