Design Justification:

The logo uses the circle as its main shape in order to give off a sense of community. The colors I chose (black, blue, and red) mainly serve to represent the colors of the Korean flag since the club focuses on the popular music and dance culture within Korea. However, the psychology of the colors also complement the emotions and overall atmosphere of the club. Red grabs attention, promotes a sense of excitement, and represents the lively energy that comes with exercising and dancing. Blue stands for the confidence and pride that the members have in their performances. Black is for boldness, as the members of the club all have bold and outgoing personalities and are always striving to perform their best. Additionally, the logo uses the letter ‘KBS’ from the club name. I wanted the ‘S’ to lie outside of the circle in order to denote movement reminiscent of dancing. I believe that this logo is simple enough that it can easily be used for all purposes and in varying sizes. The modern style I was aiming for should also appeal to the audience, people in the age range of college students.
