Rationale
The first thing that I decided on was the font. My client is a school club focused on building a community that is welcoming to anyone, so I wanted to choose something round (circular) which represented community. I ended up choosing the font Tilt Neon which represents their sense of community well. The audience is students at the school interested in joining the club so I also had to make sure that the font was easy to read so that with once glance they could tell what it was trying to say. The younger generation that this is supposed to appeal typically don’t give much time for anything, so a font that is easy to read and remember is essential. The “Vietnamese” part of the typography is lager than the rest as that is the main identity of the club and should be showcased. An added touch is the lily pads to dot the “i”s which fits in to the theme of the logo and the lotus that the club represents. Finally the colors we chose were purple and brown since purple is the color of the club and brown promotes a wholistic approach, where the club and its members are viewed as one. The headings subheadings use the same font as to promote continuity and the body text is a similar looking logo but much easier on the eyes and therefore easier to read for longer lengths of text.
