Design Rationale:

I wanted to go for a typographic manipulation of the word SASE, I have the large S enveloping the gear with a hard hat and a flask. The Gear represents engineering, the flask represents science. The color scheme matches the original colors of the SASE logo, with green representing new beginnings and blue representing responsibility. Moreover, there is slight variation in the logos color to hint at the diversity that the club embraces, as well as a hidden textual reference to SBU within the flask. The elements of the logo are all connected, with the minor exception of the smile within the gear, which communicates friendliness. The club seeks to show diversity and community to these ends
