Design Rationale

From left to right, there is a calendar, information/about page, sponsorship, and contact us icons. The color scheme of the icons matches the color theme of the club. The circular icons create a sense of welcoming. I go for curved signs for the events button to communicate a sense of warmth. The calendar icon is used for browsing events, the folder with the i on the icon gives a sense of professionalism to the about page. The sponsorship page shows an agreement with money, clearly conveying the essence of a professional endorsement. The mail icon demonstrates the contact us button on the page with an open mailbox.

As a professional club, the minimal usage of color variation (the green and blue color scheme) and the uniformity of the circular icons are important to the overall cohesion of the icon set. The usage of minimal elements in each icon ( at most 2 elements to each icon) contributes to the professional minimalism that I strived for.
