The following color palette was chosen for these reasons: the National Residence Hall Honorary has customarily selected a color of deep, dark blue for the sense of authority that they hold on campus. Building off of that, there were several accent colors added to add to the overall mood of the board. The light grey and white theme was chosen to tactfully lift off, and offset the dark blue. The light blue and black were selected as other design complements. The orange was selected as a highlight for specific elements of the UI design to highlight or pop out very important or specific information. Combining four muted colors and one very bright color allows the color palette to be refined, authoritative, but still remain playful with a highlight and flare.
