I wanted to incorporate an iconic symbol of the stock market into my type design: the line graph of the rise and fall of stocks. It is a immediately recognizable and strong graphic.

The Stony Brook Finance Society is a club on campus that aims to educate and foster interest in finance within any and all students. As finance is the primary interest of the society, I have chosen to incorporate bull horns into my design for the logo. Bulls are a longstanding symbol of finance (ex. The Charging Bull on Wall Street) and represent resilience and strength. I wanted to invoke those same characteristics with my design.
