Typography

My client is a music sharing application, where customers can get and listen to new music in an easy and reliable way. Good Music nowadays can be classified as Hot, so i decided a good name would be Hot Tunes – its catchy and conveys the message well. I wanted the typography design to go with this message of ‘hot’ music. Therefore the colored version, as well as my logo is red, which not only makes everything pop, but also helps signify this hot theme. Font-wise, I included a script style font. However, it is not too fancy, in fact it can be quickly read, and the red coloring also colors it as more stylish and sleek, rather than fancy. Again this reinforces the theme of Hot tunes – trendy, ‘hot’, ‘fire’ music.

The audience will be mostly towards teens and young adults, but will overall be to those who enjoy discovering new music. By seeing the color, combined with the stylish font, as well as the ‘hot’ logo, the audience would tell that the app is for quality or trendy music. The dazzling red will pop out, and the words ‘Hot Tunes’ will convey this message of getting popular music to its customers.
