Character Design & Background:
“Bean” – The main character to be modeled. Bean is a more simplified version of a child who lacks a nose, mouth, and other features, but still features thick rectangular eyebrows and droopy hair ticks to indicate his mood. The color of his main features will also shift as his mood brightens up. He has a smaller stature, which can be seen from his inability to touch his feet to the ground when sitting down. He’s mostly characterized by his overall sad, lonely demeanor sitting in front of his computer presumably on Zoom classes. As a consequence of these online courses, he’s also shown to be quite lonely and isolated in an initially bare room.
“Plant Friends” – Plant friends is a combination of small creatures that randomly pop up throughout the video and has a design inspired by nature. Their design relates to nature by having its main focal point be either a leaf, sprout, or grass. Their overall demeanor is characterized by being curious, friendly creatures that cheer up and accompany Bean. They appear through the ground, floor, desk, and pretty much any surface of the room.
