Title:
“Optical Illusion”
Synopsis:
Optical illusions are a fun way to trick your brain into believing the impossible, leaving one to wonder what exactly is happening. “[The Möbius Strip] is a two-dimensional object that has sneaked into our three-dimensional world”, and is a seemingly impossible way to keep walking forward in a circle.
Objective:
To use animation to show what it would be like to walk along the Möbius Strip in a first-person POV(assuming gravity permits you). There will be audio and sound effects to give the effect that we are truly walking along with the camera. A 3D model of the Möbius strip will be created.
Audience:
The best audience for this piece would be undergraduate students who are interested in optical illusions and how the mind processes such illusions.
