“Flight”

 

Synopsis:

“Flight” depicts a propeller plane taking off from the airfield. It will demonstrate the fundamental takeoff of a plane. First the pilot tests the plane’s flaps. Then he starts the engine and the propeller begins to move. The plane moves slowly but gathers enough speed to be able to take off. Once the plane’s speed is fast enough, it pitches upwards and begins its flight.

 

Objective:

To use graphics and animation to illustrate the plane taking flight. Audio will provide sound effects of the engine running. A 3D model of the plane will be built. 3D models of small details, such as grass and engine exhaust, will be built if time persists.

 

Audience:

It’s anticipated that the audience for this piece would be people that are interested in how a plane takes off.
