This is the reference sheet for the two characters in my short.
For Anubis I designed him with the intent to be friendly and not intimidating. Many Egyptian gods have human bodies and animal heads, so I decided to extend this to all extremities, giving my Anubis cartoony paws. He will be sailing along the Nile with an Egyptian reed boat with a scale built in for him to “judge” the dead by weighing their heart against a feather.
The Girl is about 5-6 years old and was designed to be simple, wearing an Egyptian-style dress, whose long robes and pearly white color also doubles as a symbol of a classic western ghost. She is left unnamed as there will be no dialogue in the short.
