Title: “The 21st Century Smartphone”

Synopsis:
The modern smartphone is a device that we take with us everywhere. It’s portable form coupled with high computing power allows us to do virtually everything anywhere. The mobile phone has developed and evolved a lot over the years. Starting with the large bulky devices in the 90s to the flip phones to the touch screens and finally to today’s bezel-less screens, face unlocks, fast charging, high-speed processors, waterproofing, and long lasting batteries, it has come a long way. They will still, however, continue to get faster and thinner each year.

The animation will start off with a smartphone. As the zoom gets closer, the phone will suddenly come apart, revealing the inner workings of the device. Then, each part will slowly be put back into place until the whole phone is constructed.

Objective:
To use 3D graphics, animation, and audio to show what goes into the device we use every day. It will also illustrate just how far we’ve come in mobile technology and project visions for the future.

Audience:
The anticipated audience is smartphone users and students that are interested in the inner workings of their device, smartphone technology, and the possibilities of the future.
