The last few years of my life have been full of self-discovery. This is why I decided to create a self-portrait that depicts the belly-button gazing I have done recently. From this, my identity flowed. I chose a mushroom background because I was associated with mushrooms while growing up. I tried to keep the viewer engaged by having my main portrait face the little one in my hand and then showing downward movement with the waterfall. I had a lot of fun adding oil paint textures using the filter. I learned a lot about using hard and soft masks too.
