Safe Topic Title:
“Piggy Bank”

Synopsis:
A piggy bank comes to life with each coin that’s dropped into its slot, filling it with joy and contentment. But as time goes by, it begins to shrink and grow melancholic, realizing that it is alone in this vast empty world. However, just when it seems like all hope is lost, a new piggy bank character walks into the scene. The two piggy banks quickly become friends, sharing laughter and stories. As they bond, our original piggy bank starts to swell with happiness, reminding us all that true wealth isn’t measured in currency but in the meaningful relationships we build with others. This story is a reminder that while money may not buy happiness, the relationships we build can fill our lives with joy

Objective:
My goal with this animation is to learn how to invoke emotion onto an inanimate object such as a piggy bank. I’d like to experiment with creating feelings of happiness and sadness. Since, I am working with an object that is relatively round and stubby, its walking will likely be elementary and less organic then that of a real organism, almost mimicking a robot.

Audience:
This is a good show for kids to learn about morals, but also great for anyone in general to watch

Creative Topic Title:
“Balloon”
Synopsis:
On a grassy field we find a young child holding onto a bright red balloon. The child’s eyes sparkle with joy as they watch the balloon dance in the breeze. But suddenly, a gust of wind tugs the balloon from the child’s grasp, and it floats away into the sky. The child’s face falls as they watch it drift higher and higher until it disappears from sight. A friendly elderly man sitting on a nearby bench notices the child’s distress. He reaches into his bag and pulls out another balloon, different but equally colorful, and offers it to the child with a kind smile.

The child’s sadness turns into a bright smile as they accept the new balloon. Together, they release it into the sky, watching it soar. In this, we learned that even when something precious is lost, there are always kind-hearted people ready to offer comfort and happiness. This short, heartwarming animation teaches the valuable lesson of kindness as well as the ability to let go

Objective:
My goal with this animation is to master the basics of creating and animating organic things

such as a human. I’d also like to experiment with the flow of the balloon as it flies gracefully as well as when it jerks away into the sky. This animation will also allow me to explore the basics of evoking emotions as well.

Audience:
Anyone who enjoys watching animated shorts
