Horror Short

Title:
“The Abyss”
Synopsis:
Similar to the horror shorts in the 334 compilation video, this will be in first person view and the “character” will be laying in a bed in their room. The camera will pan to the lamp next to his bedside that is starting to flicker. As the lamp starts to flicker, the camera pans to the opposite corner of the room where the “character” will see a dark silohuette and then they will look away and then look back and it’ll be gone. The character will focus on the flickering light again, and suspenseful music would start to play. The character looks  at the corner again and the silohuette will be much closer. Suddenly, the flickering lamp stops flickering and emits light at its full power which lights the opposite corner of the room and silohuette will be gone.
Objective:
To provide the audience with an eerie feeling inspired by the feeling those who have experience sleep paralysis have felt and to give new insight to those who have not on what the feeling could feel like. IN GENERAL, the short is mainly a horror short utilizing the music and camera angles to provide the eerie feeling.
Audience:
Undergraduate students in CSE 334.
