Title: Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Tech Tear Down

Synopsis: Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) are vehicles that travel through water without having to be manned by an operator. They were developed at the University of Washington in 1957, and have continuously evolved from there. There are many applications of an AUV, they are often used for underwater search and exploration as well as underwater data collection and coastal management.

Objective: To use animation to show a tech teardown of an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle. I will show the major components of an AUV, demonstrate what its mission is, and then show it in action.

Audience: The audience for this piece would be middle-school to high-school students interested in learning more about underwater technology, how it is made, and what it is used for.
