I wanted to portray my love for art with this self portrait.  I incorporated multiple artistic effects on all of the images used this this portrait in order to show different interpretations of the same image, especially where the background and selfie picture are concerned.  I also added some of the tools I’ve used in the past to make art such as paint brushes, colored/drawing pencils, ink pens, and cameras.  Each tool corresponds to a different filtering process on the background to reflect what that art piece would have looked like if drawn by hand or if that picture was taken.  Finally, I wanted to highlight my appearance as well as make a selfie picture look more natural, so I placed my own picture in an oval frame in the center, cutting out some of the clutter and noise after masking myself out of the original picture.
