Note: There are starts in the sky, they’re just difficult to see because of the resolution of the image. I might make them a bit larger in the next render.
Rationale: The animation I’m creating begins with this robot character in a video game’s world. I thought a space-themed game would be fitting for a robot, so I created a moon-like environment. I choose to create jagged, polygon-heavy terrain with no texture, as it better fit the cartoon-like appearance of the robot (and mimics the polygonal environments typically found in early 3D games). I chose dark lighting, as the robot is an antagonist; the dark lighting also helped to emphasize the glowing textures.
