I wanted to make the environment fairly simple, making it seem like this could be just any random room.
I had to play around with the light sources as the lamp was too close to the wall and was casting black shadows. I used a few point lights above the scene at different angles.
To make the desk lamp shed visible light on the desk, I added another point light inside of the light bulb, and then made the light bulb not cast shadows. The light bulb itself is just a UV sphere.
