Synthetic Reality:

• The goal of my composite self-portrait is to show my passion for hiking and exploring national parks. I wanted to create a scene that shows my travel memories at national parks by using creative storytelling techniques. I used all the national park emblems as the background and added a map of the United States with national parks’ names on top of the first layer of the background. I use push pins to highlight some of my pictures of my hiking experiences.  I also added an image of myself holding a camera that shows how I document those great experiences.
• I used layer masking that cut out images of myself and blended them with the background. I also adjusted the opacity of myself hiking on the map. I used blur for the background and adjusted the color. 
• Photoshop Composite gave me more opportunities to do creative design. The AI tools helped a lot whenever I needed to add some small elements and gave me inspiration.
