Final Proposal

1. PROJECT TITLE

Peace to Remember

2. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

For this project I want to focus on peaceful nature spots. Everyone at some point seeks peace in this crazy world. Something that is universally peaceful is nature and the landscape around us. This peace doesn’t always last and when we leave it, we are left to remember what we felt and experienced. Even then that can even fade. As the peaceful place fades from memory, a candle is used to keep the memory alive. Using a lit candle is the physical representation of remembrance.

I want to incorporate the two together. I am going to represent the fading by making the photograph black and white and as the picture gets closer to the candle the color is coming back and stronger. To emphasize the peacefulness of nature and/or landscape, natural light is going to be either manipulated or positioned in a certain way to achieve this.
