  • Options change daily, but with only a small varaiation
  • Option of either rice or noodles (lo mein or mei fun) with one dish

CHINESE FOOD OFF CAMPUS:

Xiao Si Chuan(小四川)-

  • Szechuan cuisine originating from the Sichuan province in Southwestern China
  • Szechuan dishes are often very spicy and leave a numbing feeling to your tongue, as people from this area usually use a lot of hot peppers and chili oil when cooking
  • There are also Szechuan food sold at many American Chinese restaurants, but the spiciness cannot compare to that of authentic Szechuan dishes.
  • This restaurant also has a separate American Chinese food section, which shows how much Chinese people doubt the ability of Americans to try authentic Chinese food and to actually like it.

  • Cuisine of Northern part of China
  • Wheat is the staple crop of Northern China, so therefore, a lot of the dishes are wheat-flour foods, for example, noodles, dumplings, steamed buns, pancakes, etc.
  • Rice is secondary to wheat in this part of China
