Adjustment disorders are behavioral reactions toward stress. Situational Depression is an adjustment disorder that can occur after traumatic events. Symptoms include isolation, disinterest in former hobbies, and lack of investment in personal obligations. Last year I was unfairly involuntarily hospitalized by a careless roommate due to a misunderstanding. During my stay at the psych ward, I was diagnosed with Situational Depression. For my project, I have remastered journal entries and sketches I made in the psych ward. I hope to provide an intimately authentic representation of Situational Depression.
