Today was the first day of my internship class and honestly, I didn’t know what to expect. After Rose gave a brief introduction about the internship class, I gained more of an idea of how this internship was going to help me in hopefully becoming a Senior Consultant. We also had our first workshop, which was on SBYou, and Nichole Gladky, an Information Technology Trainer, was kind enough to come and show us how to use you.stonybrook.edu. I was able to efficiently create my first site and learn how to navigate through the website to make it my own. I also learned that SBYou was created in hopes of giving every person a voice. Ideas can be actively shared among friends, students, faculty, and even future employers. It is simple to the point where anyone can use it, and you are free to create, develop, and be YOU.
