Today we got to go on a Fine Arts tour! We first visited the Hybrid lab, which is my favorite SINC Site of all time, and then from there we walked to the E-Media classroom. Today’s class was kind of different, we were more on our own to explore the possibilites of the Fine Arts SINC Site. I was really amazed at the projector because I got to see it work. There was so much equipment like the Racks which controlled the imaging and the sound for the projector, and the microphones, keyboards, and tablets. Although we had almost an hour to explore all of these equipment, I still don’t feel too familiar with them because I’m not too much of an arts and media person. I played around with Garage Band, Photoshop, and I looked at how VueScan differed from Epson Scan, but that was it. In the beginning I really wanted to walk in Nam’s footsteps and become the Site Manager for Fine Arts, but now that I know more about the site, I don’t think I’ll be able to handle it. I am still trying to get familiar with my own Mac computer so maybe managing a whole Mac SINC Site will be biting off more than I can chew?
