Storing Ferret Rags
> Storing Ferret Rags
When not in use, all ferret rags should be stored as follows:
- Separate rags based on types (similar rags stored together based on animal origin)
- Rags placed in Ziplock or similar type plastic bags
- All air pushed out of bags before being sealed and placed in a second sealed bag
- All sealed bags placed together in a larger plastic bag (trash bag) with air pushed out and tied
- All bags placed in -70C freezer until next use
When removing a rag for use, please remember:
- Bags must be RE-SEALED with all air pushed out
- Bags must remain in freezer when not in use
- Check bags for holes; if seal is broken or a hole is found re-seal rags in a new bag, taking care to avoid contact with moisture from the freezer
