Final Project – 8bit Lights

Process
I started by figuring out how to make the characters with the fuse beads, and once I did that I started to look for ways to get the effect that I wanted for the photos. I used a regular flashlight, and some neon sticks, and then I used Photoshop to edit them all together (get rid of backgrounds, changing colors, making some characters bigger and others smaller, and also make some new shapes with the lines I painted with light).

  1. Nice!!! I think the fuse beats photograph really well and i love the light drawing with them

  2. The images are whimsical and fun. They bring the characters more to life because they are clearly not produced digitally. The light painting contrasts the 8bit characters a bit too starkly for me as it is very free flowing whereas the characters are very rigid.
