About Me

Hello,

My name is Katey- Rose Redhead and I’m a Studio Art Major. I  absolutely love everything that’s art related, whether it’s printmaking my personal drawings or painting a still life, expressing myself through my art work is always a joy for me. As shown below, I recreated Claude Monet’s Water Lillies painting in three different ways for an introductory painting class. The first way was a replica of the original painting, a black and white version, and a complementary color version. While replicating Water Lillies, I found that I memorized every part of the painting, learned more about Monet’s specific style of impressionistic painting, and discovered my own personal style of painting as well. Not only am I passionate about art, I’m also very interested in learning about science and biology. I am on the pre med track and I would love to go into general surgery due to its extremely fascinating dive into the human body as well as its important role in saving lives every day. Ultimately, as I go through college, I am excited to learn more about various subjects, explore topics that I am passionate about, and acquire more knowledge as well as wisdom throughout my academic journey.
