My project is inspired by the act of implanting false memories in people. This is a technique used in cognitive psychology that’s meant to investigate human memory. In my project, I took portrait photographs of 2 people, that I know very well, while asking them a range of 4 questions. I captured their facial expressions and body language in the photos. Afterwards, based on how the questions were answered, ranging from remember, to somewhat remember, and can’t remember at all, I altered their pictures using color glazes and photo effects.
