These courses were taken to fulfill university requirements. Although not required, they did help me understand my mathematical skills better by understanding how the world around me works. This is especially true for the film and media studies given how we live in a society dedicated to these entertainment and information platforms. It is also vital to understand sociology which explains how humanity functions and thus provides me with the tools I need when applying statistical models. It’s proof that this particular major goes beyond just the mathematics
