Skills Obtained
- Leadership: My duties included leading groups of Cub Scouts (ages 6-10), Boy Scouts (ages 11-18) and even other adult leaders by teaching them proper conduct and policies, how to organize meetings and trips, basic survival skills, basic sciences and mathematics, and how to become leaders themselves
- Communications: I have become aware of the many forms of communication used today, and have even contacted several troops and individuals to set up meetings and create schedules on a yearly basis.
- Personal Management: I understand how to organize and optimize my workload by keeping troop records and managing the best way to use our limited time at meetings and camp-outs.
- First Aid: I have the skills and knowledge to treat simple wounds and more serious illnesses like hypothermia and dehydration, and I have been taught CPR on several occasions. These are all preventative measures taken until real medical help has arrived on the scene.
