ARS281 Lab – September 28th – Logo Design

Today I played around with logo creation. I like incorporating small splashes of color in my design concepts, so I went with a basic red on the B’s of my name:

I liked the way this looked, but I also wanted to play around a little artistically, so I created 2 more designs that are a little more abstract:

This one worked somewhat well, but the font I used didn’t lend itself to being stretch out. I went even more abstract after that:

While it’s quite minimalist and, in my opinion, elegant, a lot of people probably have the initials BB, so it wouldn’t do much to help me stand out from the crowd. As such, I went back to the first design I had an decided to touch it up with my blog’s URL. Honestly, just with that, it made it feel a lot cleaner and more professional.

This’ll be the logo I use from now on. For projects that require a smaller watermark or logo, I might go with the B^2 one.
